Title |
Factors influencing willingness to follow physician recommendations after serious illness conversations |
Description |
When patients approach the end of life, serious illness conversations can lead to a better quality of life and to decisions based on patient's own values and preferences. However, making decisions at the end of life can be challenging and overwhelming for patients as they feel they lack knowledge and many expect a recommendation from their physician.
Research questions such as how the willingness to follow a physician’s recommendation may be associated with specific physician behaviours and relationship styles are potential topics to be addressed in this master's thesis. |
