Root number 10590
Semester FS2024
Type of course Individual Laboratory
Allocation to subject Plant Sciences
Type of exam not defined
Title Research Practical in Plant Genetics and Development
Description Every multicellular organism is built from a single cell through developmental processes like cell division, differentiation and pattern formation. Here, you will collaborate on a research project that addresses these processes during the formation of the plant’s breathing pores or stomata. To understand how stomata develop and function, we use techniques in molecular biology, cell biology, microscopy, genetics and plant-atmosphere gas-exchange physiology. You will closely collaborate on an existing research project in the lab and be directly supervised by the responsible PhD student or postdoc.
The practical, the oral presentation and the (short) written report will be evaluated.
