Title |
Neuroenhancement |
Description |
n the seminar ‘Neuroenhancement’ of HS2024, we will study the effects of electrical, magnetic, pharmacological and life style-related enhancement of brain function and related mental functions. Not only the treatment with one neuroenhancer but also the simultaneous treatment with multi enhancers is of interest. Not only are enhancing effects as such of interest but also through which neurobiological changes in the brain these effects are promoted. We will answer the question of whether the boosting of brain and mental functions is restricted to elderly individuals or individuals with brain dysfunction or – at the contrary - whether everybody’s brain and mental life can be enhanced. A further topic will be the longevity of enhancing effects, if no further enhancement is provided, and the side effects of neuroenhancement.
Seminar prerequisites: knowledge in psychology and neuroscience.
Ideally: completion of the minor in neuroscience |
