Title Radicals in Organic Synthesis
Description "A". Radicals are highly reactive species that can be applied for a wide range of unique synthetic transformations. The principles that govern radical reactions will be presented and discussed in detail. The most important classes of radical transformations involving C-C and C-X (X = heteoatom) bond formations will be covered. Classical tin based chemistry, tin-free reactions, as well as single electron transfer processes will be presented. Recent development dealing with stereochemistry control such as Lewis acid catalysis and organocatalysis will be discussed. Exercise sessions will be available for each chapters.
