Description |
Our life is defined by social interactions. Which neurobiological processes underlie our social behavior? How can these processes be studied in the laboratory? This course is oriented towards a modern social psychology that also includes biological underpinnings of social behavior as well as the application of behavioral economic paradigms in its approach. This seminar will discuss which methods can be applied to which research questions, and in particular what needs to be considered in the design of the corresponding experiments. It introduces neuroscientific and behavioral experimental methods that can be used to study social interaction processes. After discussing relevant literature, experimental studies on the topic will be planned in small groups. Presentations and regular participation will be required as evidence of achievement. |
