Description |
The specialist course gives an introduction to passive (radiometric) and active (radar) remote sensing techniques for Earth and planetary sciences. It provides the physical background of the observations and technical aspects of different ground based and space born instruments.
Topics include: Microwave radiometers for atmospheric remote sensing, real and synthetic aperture radar systems, scattering mechanisms, meteor radar observations, data retrievals using the optimal estimation technique. |
