Title |
Lecture Series in Behavioural, Theoretical, and Evolutionary Biology, seminar |
Description |
The aim of this Lecture Series is to introduce students to cutting edge original research and to train them to discuss current results and hypotheses with the respective scientists. For this purpose we invite internationally highly reputed scientists in the fields of behavioural ecology, theoretical ecology and evolution, and evolutionary ecology. This Lecture Series is included in the list of Seminars for which 3rd year students of Ecology and Evolution can obtain compulsory ECTS points. Interested people of all fields are highly welcome to attend and share in the discussion. The successful attainment of ECTS points depends on an active participation in the discussion and the delivery of at least three protocol sheets that summarize the discussions the lecturer has induced. Detailed instructions and the program are available at: https://www.iee.unibe.ch/studies/lecture_series_in_behavioral_theoretical_and_evolutionary_biology/index_eng.html
There, supplementary literature files are also provided that attendants are expected to read before the respective talks to gain a broad overview of the theme, which will help to participate actively in the discussion. |
