Nebst dem Aufbau und der Struktur der Viren wird anhand ausgewählter Beispiele der Lebenszyklus eines Virus besprochen.
Dies beinhaltet alle Schritte vom Anbinden an eine Zelle über das Eindringen in dieselbe, die Vermehrung und das „Assembly“ der neu entstehenden Viren.
