Die Mastervorlesung Kognitive Entwicklung ist gegenüber den Vorjahren komplett neu konzipiert. Die Studierenden sind aufgefordert, sich während der ersten Hälfte des Semesters in 6 ausgewählte Bereiche der kognitiven Entwicklung selbstständig einzuarbeiten. Dafür werden spezifische Podcasts bereitgestellt und ausgewählte Kapitel in Bjorklund und Causey’s Buch „Children’s Thinking“ müssen erarbeitet werden (Kap. 1, 2, 7, 8, 9, 11, und 12).
In the second half of the semester, the previous knowledge is applied and deepened within the framework of face-to-face appointments on the basis of practical examples (twin premature birth, executive functions, delayed language development, a case of a child as an eyewitness, a girl with reading and spelling difficulties, intelligence development of a child with a migration background). In the sense of a "problem-based-learning approach", concrete case studies are given and key questions on anamnesis, diagnostics and intervention are dealt with. Extensive additional materials will be made available during the face-to-face sessions (slides, further information, anonymized findings) and discussed. In order to be able to actively participate in the attendance dates, the content preparation is expected in the first half of the semester.
The following attendance dates have been set: 23.2. Introduction and organisational matters; 6.4., 20.4., 27.4., 4.5., 11.5. and 25.5.23.
The exam for 5 ECTS will take place during the Master's examination week on site, but with your own laptop. The exam will include classic yes/no questions and open-ended questions. Overall, the open questions will form the focus of the grading in terms of points. |
