| Description |
This lecture is an introduction to the basic concepts of health psychology. In the first part of this lecture, general psychological concepts and approaches to health and illness are discussed. These include health behavior, personality and resilience, approaches to health promotion and prevention as well as stress and coping. In the second part, selected health topics will be discussed from a health psychological perspective. These include substance use, diet, physical activity, sexual health, healthy aging, and environmental health. |
