Title Labour Market and Economic Geography - PhD reading group
Description This course is designed for PhD students. The reading group discusses recent papers in Labor Economics and Economic Geography, with a particular focus on inequality and how the latter relates to the spatial structure of labor markets, worker skills, mobility or aggregate changes in technology, trade, or institutions.
Learning Outcomes: Students will train their theoretical and empirical skills to develop a research project.
Readings: There is no required textbook for this course. A list of the relevant papers is provided below. Additional relevant papers can be chosen by students, in agreement with the instructors.
Evaluation: The evaluation is entirely based on the presentation and the participation to the reading group throughout the semester. No midterm or final exam.
Everyone is expected to attend class and participate regularly. Students failing to attend class more than once during the semester will not receive a grade.
