Title |
Typical development and developmental disorders in (early) childhood. |
Description |
The aim of the proseminar is to develop an overview of the central areas of development of early childhood and to promote the scientific skills of the students. The following three areas of development as well as corresponding developmental disorders are discussed in the proseminar: Cognitive development, social development and language development. Furthermore, scientific text studios are planned in order to improve one's own scientific competences. For this purpose, empirical articles are discussed that evaluate interventions and forms of therapy. In particular, the ability of critical text analysis and that of scientific writing are to be deepened. Requirements: I. Reading all texts in preparation for the sessions. II. Giving a short presentation on a developmental disorder. The presentations are not graded, but must reach the level "passed". III. Writing of three paperwork during the semester (maximum one page) IV. Regular and active participation. V. Submission of a written term paper at the end of the semester. Further information on the written work will be announced during the seminar.
