Title |
Ambulatory Assessment – Understanding health in daily life |
Description |
There is growing interest among researchers in understanding psychological processes in people's natural environments and everyday lives. The Ambulatory Assessment includes a number of different methods for data collection in real life (e.g. diaries, experience sampling, activity monitors) that are considered to be ecologically valid. The subject of the seminar are assessment methods of indicators for health and stress in everyday life to answer psychological research questions, and their potential and limitations. Furthermore, the basics of designing, implementing and analyzing of ambulatory assessment studies will be introduced and applied to a small own project.
In small groups, the students lead a session on a specific topic. They develop a concept of a study that examines a psychological research question using Ambulatory Assessment, dn implement a small pilot study. In principle, active participation in the seminar and reading literature are required. |
