Special Issues in Forensic Psychiatry and Psychology |
Description |
This course follows on from “Introduction to Forensic Psychiatry and Psychology”. Experts from various fields will speak on topics including (provisional)
- assessment (e.g. criminal law assessment, fitness to bear arms, insurance-legal assessment),
- specific psychiatric disorders and treatment approaches in forensic psychiatry and psychology (e.g. addiction disorders, multimodal treatment of sex offenders)
Level of study and necessary prior knowledge:
This course addresses students at master’s degree level from the areas of law, criminology, psychology and medicine who already attended the course “Introduction to Forensic Psychiatry and Psychology”. Students who did not attend the introduction course may still be able to attend the present course if they are willing and able to account for their knowledge gaps by independent study in preparation for this course. In such a case, please contact the FPD secretary’s office prior to enrollment.
Relevant reading for this course will be announced in the first lecture. |
