Title |
1924-2024: One Hundred Years of Electroencephalography |
Description |
This proseminar is a journey through time, taking us from the beginnings of EEG research to the most modern applications in brain research. In this proseminar we will dive deep into the fascinating history and development of this important neurophysiological technique and examine how it has transformed the way we understand the brain.
We will explore the pioneering work of Hans Berger and other scientists that led to the discovery of EEG and understand the challenges and breakthroughs in the acquisition, signal processing and interpretation of the brain's electrical activity. From the basics of EEG technology to the variety of applications of EEG, including brain-computer interfaces, we will develop a comprehensive overview.
