Title |
Religions in Bern |
Description |
Bern is home to a variety of religions (Christian national and free churches, the Jewish community, Muslim communities, Buddhist and Hindu centers and many more). This religiously diverse landscape offers the opportunity to get to know the coexistence and cooperation of the communities better. To this end, religious communities in the city are visited as part of the exercise. Participants will meet representatives from the field and talk to them on site about their form of faith and the traditions they live by. These encounters are prepared and followed up with theoretical reflection units. The focus is on practicing interreligious competence, getting to know important topics of interreligious discussion and reflecting on the social relevance of the coexistence and cooperation of religious communities in Bern. |
