Semester FS2026
Type of course Lecture
Allocation to subject Biochemistry
Type of exam Written exam
Title Biochemistry IV: Biogenesis of Cellular Organelles
Description The lecture addresses the following questions:
- How does ribosome biogenesis occur?
- What are the mechanisms and regulatory processes governing protein synthesis?
- How are organelles formed?
- How are proteins, RNA molecules, and lipids transported from their site of synthesis to their site of function?
- Which signals are required for these transport processes, and how can hydrophilic proteins traverse hydrophobic membranes?
