Title Basics of Ethics in Health Sciences Research
Description This module provides an introduction to ethics and scientific integrity in health sciences research. Participants will learn about the history and principles of ethics of clinical and public health research, and about issues in the area of scientific integrity such as conflict of interest, authorship and research misconduct. The course further covers selected relevant topics such as the Swiss human research law, research regulation and fair utilization of research resources including push towards open science.

For an accreditation of 1 ECTS, a minimum of 80% attendance, incl. active participation, and passed exam are required.

Cancellation regulations:
Course attendance must be cancelled no later than 3 weeks before the first course day (see de-registration deadline).
Processing fee of CHF 100 will be applied for:
- Cancellations after 3 weeks before the first course day (late cancellations)
- Participants with course attendance of less than 80% of the on-site course time
- Absence on the first day of the course (considered as a late cancellation)
