Required readings
You are required to read all assigned papers before the class in which they are discussed.

Discussion
The group leading the discussion should prepare a brief presentation summarizing the paper (15 minutes). You can assume that everyone has read the paper. The goal is to set the stage for the discussion by reminding everyone of the key elements of the paper. Next, you will lead and moderate a discussion of the paper (45 min). You should prepare a list of topics that your classmates can discuss. The goal is to critically evaluate the (i) methods of the paper, (ii) the assumptions, (iii) the results and real-world implications, (iv) the directions for future research.

Discussion summary
Write a summary of the main points that were discussed during the class. For each point, provide your own opinion. For example, if the discussion point criticized methodology of the paper, explain if, in your view, the criticism is warranted or not. Or, if the discussion was about possible policy implications, explain what policy response would be optimal (and why) in your view. Aim for a maximum of 6 pages.
