| Title |
The social psychology of gullibility and belief in fake news |
| Description |
In an era where the distinction between truth and falsehood is increasingly blurred, dealing with misinformation has become a central issue. This concerns not only political discourse but also health communication, journalism, education, and science.
In this seminar, we aim to explore the psychosocial mechanisms that influence why people believe, spread, or ignore fake news. We will investigate the cognitive biases and emotional responses at play, as well as how the digital world has transformed the way we receive and share information.
Finally, we will take a look at innovative methods and solutions for combating the phenomenon of fake news – from technological approaches to societal strategies. |
