Title Advanced Organometallic Chemistry for Organic Synthesis
Description Organometallic compounds play a central role in organic (sustainable) synthesis. Transformations requiring toxic or expensive reagents are now being replaced by transition metal complex catalyzed reactions, producing few (or no) harmful wastes. The aim of this course is not only to present the fundamental principles of organometallic chemistry, but also to mainly demonstrate the usefulness of compounds containing metal-carbon bonds in modern synthetic organic chemistry by recent examples. The course will be complemented by a Q&A session. Exercises will be distributed regularly and will be corrected for the following session. Some homework and home training will be required during the course.

This course has a prerequisite for the lectures OC-II, OC-III, OC-IV, and AC-III from the bachelor chemistry program.
