| Title |
Complex environmental governance: Governing between international economic law and climate policy |
| Description |
This seminar explores the interaction between international economic law and climate policies through an interdisciplinary lens. In the first section of the semester, we will examine different types of climate policies. In the second section, we will cover aspects of the international economic legal regimes relevant to climate policies, including the key concepts and legal rules underlying these regimes. In the third part, we will explore the complex interactions between these legal regimes and climate policymaking, utilizing various theoretical perspectives from law and political science. By the end of the seminar, students will gain insight into the constraints and frameworks of international economic law and their impact on climate policy.
Prerequisites: Completed Bachelor's degree
The seminar is suitable for master’s students interested in exploring how the interactional economic law framework interacts with climate policy. No prior specialized knowledge of international economic law is required; however, a basic understanding of international public law would be an asset.
