Title Evolution of mechanisms regulating behaviour
Description Registration deadline 14 April in KSL. Registration is binding.

This course is designed for MSc students interested in exploring the neurophysiological mechanisms that regulate behaviour and their evolutionary significance. By the end of the course, students will: (i) understand how different neurophysiological mechanisms regulate behaviours; (ii) distinguish between various neuronal pathways (e.g., neurotransmitters, neuropeptides, neurohormones); (iii) grasp the interactive nature of physiological pathways; (iv) explore the evolutionary history of neuronal pathways and networks.

The course employs a supervised self-study approach. Students will summarize assigned literature on a selected topic and prepare a presentation to share with the class. Each presentation will be followed by a round-table discussion, fostering in-depth discussions between students and supervisors on the topic.
ILIAS-Link (Learning resource for course) Registrations are transmitted from CTS to ILIAS (no admission in ILIAS possible). ILIAS
