| Title |
Psychology of complementary therapies in inpatient treatment |
| Description |
Inpatient complementary therapies are understood here as therapies that are offered to patients in inpatient psychiatric or psychosomatic treatment to achieve psychological treatment goals. Examples of such complementary therapies are art therapy, music therapy, dance/movement therapy, theatre/drama therapy, writing/poetry therapy, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, sports/exercise therapy, body-oriented therapy, mindfulness/meditation therapy, animal-assisted therapy or leisure/occupational therapy. In the seminar, we will explore contents and methods of various complementary therapies and sub-forms both conceptually and experientially, and insights into psychological change processes and outcomes will be developed. |
