Title Introduction to Functional Organic Materials
Description This course is designed for undergraduate students interested in functional organic materials and the development of novel molecular devices. It introduces the fundamental principles of designing, modifying, and integrating chemical building blocks with distinctive physical properties. The course focuses on rational design strategies for electron donor (D) and acceptor (A) systems, along with key characterization techniques. Students will gain a solid understanding of photoinduced energy- and charge-transfer processes in various D–A systems, with potential applications in organic electronics such as organic field-effect transistors, organic photovoltaics, and organic light-emitting diodes.
