ARP: Day Excursion: Augst and Basel between Late Antiquity and the Middle Ages |
| Description |
Die Exkursion führt von Augst über das Gebiet des römischen und frühmittelalterlichen Siedlungsraumes bis nach Basel. Im Zentrum steht die Auseinandersetzung mit den wichtigsten archäologischen Fundstellen und Baustrukturen, die den Übergang von der Spätantike zum Mittelalter in dieser Region prägen. Vor Ort werden ausgewählte Befunde, Monumente und Siedlungsareale besichtigt, um ihre topographische Einbindung, funktionale Deutung sowie ihre historische Entwicklung im überregionalen Kontext nachvollziehbar zu machen. Ergänzend werden Fragen der Kontinuität und Transformation, der urbanen Entwicklung der Spätantike bis ins frühe Mittelalter diskutiert. Leistungsnachweis: Paper und Referat vor Ort. |
