Research Seminar: Longitudinal and Experimental Psychopathology |
| Description |
This research seminar focuses on the longitudinal assessment and statistical modeling of psychopathology. A particular emphasis is on experimental paradigms that are essential for understanding the role of social and physiological experiences in the emergence and development of stress-related psychopathology over time. The seminar places a strong emphasis on the specific challenges of research in childhood, adolescence, and young adulthood. The seminar is highly interactive: participants present and discuss their own research projects, exchange experiences from experimental research, collaboratively develop research questions, and engage in discussions of broader conceptual and methodological challenges.
Meetings take place monthly. The facilitator and external guest lecturers will provide theoretical and methodological overviews of relevant topics (e.g., core theoretical concepts, experimental paradigms, and statistical models) and recent empirical work in the field of longitudinal and experimental psychopathology. Participants will give talks on their own research projects followed by structured peer feedback and group discussions. In some sessions, participants will engage in group work. |
