Title Graduate Course: Topics in Modern Cosmology
Description In this course we discuss some open issues in cosmology. Specifically, we analyse some illustrative inflationary models and we determine their signatures on the cosmic microwave background and on gravitational wave observables. We also review the puzzle of the baryon asymmetry of the universe and recent proposals aiming to solve the problem. Finally, we describe the experimental evidence for dark matter and highlight some classic ideas on how to reproduce the correct dark matter abundance and phenomenology.

CONTENT:

- Brief review of the bases
- Equilibrium and out-of-equilibrium thermodynamic
- Baryogenesis
- Dark matter
- Inflation and cosmological perturbations
- Cosmic microwave and gravitational wave backgrounds
