Title |
Clinical neuropsychology in patients during development |
Description |
In the seminar, various diseases of childhood that affect the central nervous system are familiarized with (e.B. epilepsy, craniocerebral trauma, childhood stroke, oncological diseases). It focuses on the etiology and the course of the diseases and in particular on the neuropsychological outcome in childhood and adolescence, always paying attention to the factors that characterize cognitive development and recovery in childhood in particular. Diagnostic strategies of developmental neuropsychology are learned through the application of various neuropsychological recording methods. The effectiveness of neuropsychological interventions in childhood and adolescence is presented and discussed. Requirements: The seminar places high demands on active participation. Basic texts are developed, neuropsychological tests are practiced, presentations are made on in-depth topics, critical discussions are held in small groups and work results are presented. For the grading of the 5 ECTS associated with the seminar, a final test will be written in the Master's examination week.
Literature: Lidzba K, Everts R, Reuner G. Neuropsychology in children and adolescents. 2019, Hogrefe (29.90 CHF, eBook 26.00 CHF). Further basic articles will be handed out in the seminar.
Registration: Registration takes place via KSL. The registration is binding and cannot be reversed or changed.
Main area of study: The achievements achieved in the seminar are recognized for a Master's module developmental psychology or general and neuropsychology (15, 30 or 45 ECTS) as well as an elective achievement. |
