Title Prevention and Intervention for developmental disorders
Description In this seminar, on the basis of experimental training and evaluation research, relevant prevention and intervention procedures for selected developmental disorders are developed and discussed with regard to their theoretical foundation and effectiveness.
Topics: Prevention of cognitive developmental disorders (written language acquisition, understanding of mathematics, working memory, strategies, executive functions). The focus is on the content of the individual procedures as well as their effectiveness and the state of scientific evaluation. Specific prior knowledge of developmental psychopathology and normative cognitive development is required.
The acquisition of 5 ECTS requires regular, active participation in the seminar, participation in a presentation and the design of a seminar session. The basis for the grading will be a written test in the Master's examination week. Further information on the final exam will be given during the seminar.
Registration: Registration must be made via KSL. The registration is binding and cannot be reversed or changed.
Main area of study: The achievements achieved in the seminar are recognized for a Master's module in Developmental Psychology (15, 30 or 45 ECTS) as well as as an elective achievement.
It is also possible to write a seminar paper (seminar paper I: 25-30 pp., 3 ECTS; Seminar Paper II: 35-40 pp., 4 ECTS). Seminar papers are written independently by a person as an individual service and must comply with the guidelines of the Dept. of Developmental Psychology (see homepage).
