Description |
This lecture is part of the Topic module "Managerial Accounting" with 4.5 ECTS.

Generating insights from data is a core topic for modern firms and its importance will even increase in the next decades. The course deals with data analytics centering at performance measurement in firms with an emphasis on applied empirical methods to measure and evaluate performance of actions, individuals, and corporate functions. A particular emphasis is put on the linkages of actions (value-drivers) on nonfinancial performance measures and how these translate into short- and long-term financial performance. Content is taught by managerial case studies and how management problems can be addressed with using data and empirical methods. Students will learn to run empirical analyses using STATA via live programming during the course.
Due to live programming and interaction, it is essential for the course that students are able and willing to contribute to class.
Students who want to participate must register in KSL, see also Syllabus on the IUC Homepage. |
