Seminar: Advanced Topics in Microeconomics |
Description |
In this seminar, students will explore one advanced microeconomic topic in depth. Working in groups, the students will read and present a research paper, and will write a report summarizing the literature on the topic of the seminar.
The topic for the seminar will change regularly. The topic for HS 2023 is ”start-up acquisitions”.
Your grade will be based on the number of points you collect throughout the semester. The total number of points is 100. The points for different tasks are listed below:
1. Quizzes – 3x10 pts
2. Group presentation – 30 pts
3. Final report – 30 pts
4. General participation – 10 pts
There will be a quiz before meetings 2, 3 and 4. Each quiz will be based entirely on the assigned
readings for that meeting. The purpose of the quizzes is to make sure that everyone completes the assigned readings, which are necessary for active participation in the seminar.
