mHealth in the context of chronic disease |
| Description |
Mobile technologies such as text messages, apps, GPS offer a wide range of opportunities to embed interventions directly in people's everyday lives and to change health in the natural environment and people's everyday lives. The subject of this seminar will be the target points, design and empirical evidence of technology-based interventions to improve disease management in the context of chronic disease (e.g. cancer, diabetes, HIV, asthma, depression). Moreover, challenges such as user engagement, undesirable effects, data protection and quality assurance and implications for future research are discussed.
In small groups, the students lead a session on a specific topic and write a scientific blog. In principle, active participation in the seminar and reading literature are required. |
