Title |
Journal club macroevolution, seminar |
Description |
We read and discuss papers or book chapters that deal with emerging patterns in macroecology and macroevolution and the underlying processes, such as the origin and loss of species and that of biodiversity. Because humans have massive effects on all of these processes, we also read critical work at the interface of ecology and social sciences. This semester we will read review and synthesis papers and possible a book. By participating in our journal club, students learn how to read, evaluate and critically discuss science while learning about a broad set of concepts in ecology and evolution.
This course will happen at the IEE with optional zoom-in. |
