Root number 4164
Semester HS2025
Type of course Lecture
Allocation to subject Chemistry
Type of exam Written exam
Title Environmental Radionuclides and Nuclear Dating
Description Sources and possible sinks of primordial, cosmogenic and anthropogenic radionuclides are discussed. Special emphasis is devoted to nuclides with application in climate research (e.g. Be-10, C-14 etc.). Some of these radionuclides are used for nuclear dating, via their nuclear decay or disequilibria in radioactive decay chains or via production rates in environmental systems by cosmic rays.

Also for students from Climate Science.
