‘All that glitters is not gold,’ metallurgy in the third millennium / Sumerian III |
| Description |
Based on archaeological and philological sources, the metallurgy of southern Mesopotamia in the 3rd millennium BC (Early Dynastic, Akkadian and Neo-Sumerian periods) will be examined.
Students with a focus on archaeology will examine the material remains, while those with a focus on philology will read the relevant texts. Together, the sources will be examined, discussed and analysed in a synthesis. |
