| Title |
Self-conscious emotions in clinical psychology |
| Description |
In this seminar, we will look at different aspects of self-conscious emotions such as shame and guilt from a basic scientific and a clinical-psychological perspective. At the beginning, the development and function of these emotions and their relevance for various psychological disorders will be discussed. Theoretical approaches from cognitive, social-cognitive, neurobiological and psychodynamic research help to understand self-conscious emotions. In addition, various interventions for intense self-conscious emotions in clinical psychology and psychotherapy are examined. |
