In dieser Vorlesung werden wissenschaftstheoretische Grundlagen der gegenwärtigen und einer zukünftigen analytisch-empirischen Bildungssoziologie vorgestellt. Des Weiteren werden aktuelle bildungssoziologische Fragestellungen und Studien aufgegriffen und kritisch diskutiert. Ziel ist es, herauszuarbeiten, was eine moderne soziologische Bildungsforschung ist, was ihre Aufgaben und Zielsetzungen sind, und was sie tatsächlich zu leisten vermag. Diese Herausforderung wird anhand aktueller Debatten über Bildung, Bildungssystem und Bildungspolitik sowie der Diskussion über Theorien und empirischen Befunden veranschaulicht. |
