Artificial intelligence (AI) is rapidly transforming economies across a wide range of domains.
Yet, the economic consequences of adopting—or failing to adopt—AI remain uncertain, both at
the individual and the aggregate level. Recent research has begun to shed more light on these
effects, offering new theoretical insights and empirical evidence.
This seminar has a dual focus. First, we will examine the economic implications of AI
through a classical lecture format, drawing on both theoretical models and empirical studies.
Second, we will adopt a hands-on approach: students will use AI tools to teach themselves
R and apply it to analyze data and implement economic models. Accordingly, the course
is divided into two parts—lectures and applied projects. |
