Title Swiss TAG Colloquium and Workshop – "Bring your own Theory 2.0"
Description The Swiss Theoretical Archaeology Group (Swiss TAG) is a community of interest for theoretical discussion in archaeology in Switzerland. On Thursday, 11 September 2025, the second edition of the Swiss TAG workshop ‘Bring your own theory’ will take place, consisting of a colloquium with lectures and discussion as well as a workshop section.

As in the first edition in early 2025, the aim of the workshop is to reflect jointly on central theoretical questions in the context of specific evaluation projects: What insights can be gained from the sources? To what extent are existing theoretical concepts compatible with the available data, and how can concepts be selected or developed that are appropriate to the respective research questions?

The workshop is organised by Swiss TAG in cooperation with the University of Bern, the University of Basel and eikones.
