Title Heterogeneous Catalysis and Sustainable Chemistry
Description The lecture course discusses the concepts and applications of heterogeneous catalysts. In particular the role of heterogeneous catalysts for sustainable chemistry and regenerative energy conversion is highlighted. In addition to the basic concepts the synthesis and characterization of (heterogeneous) catalysts is discussed highlighting the importance of in-situ characterization techniques. As applications for heterogenous catalysts, we introduce fuel cells and water electrolyzers as a means of a CO2 free energy cycle.
