In this course, participants have learned how health system organizes the “market” of health care providers and how the payment of health care is divided among the government, insurance companies, and private out-of-pocket payments, as well as the foundations of decision making from the perspective of economic theory.
Registration and deregistration regulation: Registration for PHS courses is open until approximately two weeks before the course begins. Participants may deregister without incurring an administrative fee up to one month before the course starts. After the deregistration period, the organisers will decide whether the course will take place. Registrations after the deregistration deadline are binding, and any deregistration after this deadline will incur an administrative fee of CHF 100.
