Title PHS: Hot Topics in Health Care Research
Description Four half-days spread over four weeks, starting August 12, 2026; the other dates will be confirmed as they become available.

In this course, participants explore four specific, important topics of health care systems: primary care, nursing, palliative care, and patient safety. In each topic, participants learn about current research questions or practice problems and link these to health policy, law and health systems organization and financing. Key methods for health care research are introduced and discussed with their advantages and limitations, e.g. routine health care data as indicators for system performance.

Registration and deregistration regulation: Registration for PHS courses is open until approximately two weeks before the course begins. Participants may deregister without incurring an administrative fee up to one month before the course starts. After the deregistration period, the organisers will decide whether the course will take place.
