In this seminar, students will learn the basics of the economics of innovation and in that context explore the history of one company. The goal will be to identify one important innovation that the company under examination has discovered or brought to the market, and to understand the economic forces shaping that innovation.
Your grade will be based on the number of points you collect throughout the semester. The total number of points is 100. The points for different tasks are listed below.
1. Midterm exam – 30 pts
2. Presentations – 30 pts (3x10 pts)
3. Feedback – 9 pts (3x3 pts)
4. Sketches of the report – 6 pts (2x3 pts)
5. Final report – 15 pts
6. Participation – 10 pts
