In this course, participants study the fourth edition of the book "Essential Epidemiology: An Introduction for Students and Health Professionals" by P. Webb, C. Bain, and A. Page. They deepen their understanding about concepts and measures used to quantify the frequency of health outcomes and their associations with exposures of interest in a given population and study in depth the main types of epidemiological study designs and their potential sources of bias.
Preparation for this exam consists of:
-> Self-study: June - November 2026 (Recommended books: Essential Epidemiology: An Introduction for Students and Health Professionals (4th edition) by Penelope Webb, Chris Bain, and Andrew Page ISBN 978-1-108-76680-7), book and test exam are to be found on Ilias.
