| Title |
Specialist Course: Computational High Energy Physics |
| Description |
This course introduces the computational foundations of simulating high-energy collider experiments.
The first half follows the standard pipeline: starting from the Lagrangian of the underlying theory (such as the Standard Model), we proceed through event generation and detector simulation to the comparison with experimental data.
The second half focuses on methods for incorporating higher-order corrections and on the theoretical challenges they bring.
Each two-hour lecture is complemented by a one-hour hands-on session using a pedagogical code, giving participants practical experience with the methods discussed. |
