| Title |
Quantum Field Theory I |
| Description |
This course constitutes the first part of a two-semester introduction
to Quantum Field Theory. The topics covered or mentioned are:
* Canonical quantization of scalar fields (classical field theory
in Lagrange and Hamilton formalisms; canonical quantization;
differently time-ordered propagators; interactions; S-matrix;
Green's functions; LSZ-reduction; perturbation theory)
* Path integral quantization of scalar fields (path integral in
quantum mechanics; Wick's theorem; Schwinger-Dyson equations and
generating functionals)
* Renormalization (power counting; regularization; bare and
renormalized Green's functions; renormalization group) |
